Whining noise from the AC compressor side
My daughter's 2009 ES with about 80k miles started making whining noise from the AC compressor side, 2 days ago. The noise increases when the car is put in drive and decreases when the AC is turned off. What does this mean? Compressor/clutch issues, AC belt? Is there a way to determine if the noise is due to the worn out AC belt? Since there is still some noise when the AC is turned off does this mean that the V belt also could be bad? Are are any pulleys that could make wining noise? Best I can tell, the AC and the V belts are original and came with the car.
Finally, does 2009 ES (pebble beach edition) come with a timing chain or a timing belt?
Thank you.
