2 little issues
 

Today I finally took my new ES for a little drive since the weather is a little more agreeable. I snap a couple of pics:

The ride was awesome. No rattles, every pleasant and comfortable drive. However, I noticed 2 minor things:

1 - When the car reverses, I hear a little squealing on the rear pads. I think there is a TSB on that.

2 - This is an odd one. The rear seat on the driver's side makes a popping / thunking sound on the upper back everytime I sit. It is not doing this on the rear passenger seat.

Guess I will be visiting the service dept soon, but overall I am very happy with the car. :woohoo:

Mine is a 12/06 build and the rear brakes squeal. It was built well after the cutoff VIN on the Brake Squeal TSB, but it is pretty obvious.

I had that one in mine too - but on the rear passenger side as opposed to yours on the rear driver's side. Its a quick fix - the dealer did their thing with it and I haven't heard any noise from that since.

Is that the SGM color on your car? I have the same color... I recommend getting the windows tinted, then it'll match very nicely with the color of the paint. :thumbup:

Do you remember what the dealer did to fix your rear seat thunking sound? Was the seat removed? Did the dealer fix from inside the cabin, or inside the trunk (behind the seat)? Do you remember if something was loose, or was it something with the seat cushion?

Yah, if I remember correctly, they removed the rear bench (pretty easy to do without anything major) and just put some felt padding between the seat cushion and the metal frame of the car below. There's just so many contact points and clips that sometimes one of them doesn't get fit 100% snug, that's all.
