This past weekend I took my ES350 to San Diego (125 miles south of Los Angeles). This 2 hr drive was particularly interesting. I stopped by long beach to pick up a friend. Her impression of my new car was "wow.... so nice in every way!". Visited a few friends...and of course I volunteered to drive to our activities. Everyone was impressed by the ES, and they all were quite envious. No sour grape friends, so it's all good.

As expected, this car has excellent gas mileage on highway. My tank average was 29.6 mpg. I love san diego because the highway reaches every part of the city, so no real need to drive local streets. Now I have almost 3000 miles on it, and it's running smooth as silk. Very nice car indeed. No noticeable wind noise, but I can still hear the noisy highway.... The engine is only louder when i try to accelerate on uphill slope.

Bottomline: This is a great car for short road trips.
