My Previous ES had a Power Mode where it would shift at higher shift points when accelerating. I think it also eliminated the overdrive gear. Does this ES have a Power Mode or is that eliminated by having the ability to choose specific gears? If it does have a Power Mode, does anyone know how to access it?

 

I think the "sports" mode will shift later than "D". You can set sports mode to 6, and just drive it like in D, but shifts later.

How do you put the transmission into Sports Mode? My old ES had a button on the shift **** but I don't see one here.

 

I think he meant sequential shifting mode.......but that was NOT available until the 2007 ES350's 6 speed transmission.

 

They turned that button into a whole new car, the IS

 

When you are on D, just push the transmission left, and then you can up shift to 6, and then leave it there.
