Are you guys getting any extended warranties? How much are they quoting?
Did anyone get the Clear Bra or "Ding Monkey (paint less dent repair)" type services? Even if you didn't get them how much are they quoting you for these things?

I understand the XM or Sirius radio install can be haggled with a bit, but didn't know how much they are starting at.

Thanks!

Hopfully I pick mine up next week, and don't want to go in too blind to Mr. Add On Profit man.

Default Lexus Extended Warranty

The extended warranty price depends on how many years you want to extend. It seems the best bargain is the 3 year extended warranty, which I purchased for about $1950. The extended warranty was offered to me for only a couple of hundred less. The extra year for a completely new model was basically what I wanted for peace of mind. You might be able to get it cheaper, but I did not bargain with them at all. They just offered me options and I either said yes or no, and drove the car out of there.

we got the 6 year/72000 mile extended warranty, it just adds 2 years and the mileage on top of the original warranty. They wanted $2200 for it, then lowered it to $1800. 30-day money back guarantee if we change our minds, after that, if we don't use the warranty during the two years after the basic warranty is over, we get our $1800 back.

I am getting the back-up sensors and (maybe) the Sirius radio on my UL. Not sure about the radio as there is a question of availability. Each was about $600.

I paid for the 4 years of service in advance and got the extended warranty to 7 years and 100,000mi. Not cheap but I had the money.

Had XM installed for $595. They wanted $850. Told the salesman that was way too much. He said the only thing he could do was to see if he could sell it to me at his employee discount which would be $595. Sounded bogus to me but I went ahead and took him up on the offer. When I picked the car up there was no dealer invoice. I paid the salesman direct. Strange way of doing business!

Have ordered the Park Assist. Price installed is $795 and they would not budge off this.

So, as of now Lexus Customer Service says that Sirius is not going to be available on the ES. I do not know if that means just in the "here and now" (maybe "hear and now") or forever. So, I'm getting the XM (no Ginger and Christy on XM ). I am supposed to get the beast on Monday now.

ps. They cashed the check already.

Even though you said the 7 year service was a good bit of money, how much are we talking? I know I'm going to end up putting a lot of miles on it. Just wanted to think of what could go wrong that would cost me a certain amount of dollars.

I'm liking the idea of the extra warranty with some maintence built in, but don't know how rare that is.
