Hi all...I just picked up a beautiful 2009 ES350. Color exterior/interior: Black Sapphire/Cashmere. I'm new to Lexus..before this I drove a Subaru Legacy and got sick of the "go-cart" style ride it had. The ES is superb in every way so far.

Here's a picture from the dealer:

Picked up a 2009 Lexus ES 350 Premium in the beginning of June! This is my first Lexus. I bought this as a college graduation gift to myself from Lexus of Merrillville, IN. I live in the suburbs of Chicago but our excellent sales rep from Lexus of Orland transferred to that location so we followed him! (he's that good)

My parents are Lexus fans and the car I learned to drive on was an '04 RX 330. The love for Lexus wore off on me...it's one of my parents' habits I am actually proud to have...

Obsidian Black, Black Interior with the Cherry wood trim

^The 2013 RX is my parents'. Bought it the same day as my ES.

What did I drive before?

2007 Pontiac Torrent- Never again.

ashley, congrats on the new car. I shopped at Lexus of Merrillville and ended up buying at Orland Park (same ownership). Both are good dealerships IMO. We live in the SW suburbs so both are convenient, O.P. moreso. Enjoy the car.

Thank you!!
I live on the border of Homer Glen and Orland Park...so Orland would have been much more convenient for me (10 minute drive), but my parents have used the same sales guy (Marc Lovejoy) since 2000... so when he transferred over, so did we. Our family bought 3 from the Orland location and 2 from Merrillville (an hour drive). Both locations have been great to us!! Fortunately, I can still get my car serviced at Orland

We lived in Homer Glen before moving a few years ago. Bought a Lexus from Orland, and our current one came from Naperville. I still go to Orland for service since it's so close, and they have good Service specials from time to time.

Where are you getting your tinitng done? I recently had both cars done at a shop in Orland/Tinley that was recommended and did a nice job.

I believe it's called Performance Detailing? On 159th and Harlem....on the Orland Park side. I got a great deal on Groupon for $159. All 4 windows tinted, plus the rear window, and a professional wash and wax.

My brother had gone there and they did a good job so i'm hoping it works out well! Is this the same place you went to?!

That is a good price. I think I paid $239 for the Lexus. The place I used is Tint To U. I think it's in the same general area, just a 1/2 block or so away, on the corner behind Traverso's.

Purchased in June 2012.

2008 ES 350
Smokey Granite Mica Exterior, Black Interior
Ultra Luxury.

Previously driving a 1989 Pontiac 6000 - with only 10k miles (for 2 months) after selling my 2003, I-35. Liked the I-35, not the Pontiac, but LOVE the Lexus.

Flew to New York to pick it up from a Craigslist ad. Drove it back to Tulsa, OK in two great, though rushed, days. I bought this model for the Mark Levinson and it sounds great, but now I would like to know if there are any tricks to adjusting it to get full advantage. The acceleration is wonderful. Car just feels good.

Before purchasing, I read many of your comments here. Thank you for the great input. I am glad I found you.

Default My First Lexus

In the process of buying my very first Lexus! I say in the process, because it is a bit of a complicated purchase as I'm buying from the daughter of the owner who is now deceased. Waiting for the will to finish probate and executorship to be granted. (should be in less than a week now)

It's a 2010 ES 350 with only 11,400 miles on it. Very rarely driven and basically just sat in a garage for the last year.

No photos of it yet, but it's a beauty!
  • NAV
  • Rear Spoiler
  • A/C Seats
  • Full Bluetooth Connectivity

Some of the above might be self explanatory, but those are the features I was certainly most excited about.

It is the Obsidian Black exterior with tan interior and wood trim.

I drove a 2008 Nissan Altima SL prior to this, so it is a very nice step up!
