I just sat in the rear of the new Camry, and I compared with my friend's existing Camry.
The new Camry has noticeably more rear leg and shoulder room than its immediate predecessor!
However, like always, its not all good news.
The new Camry has a lower rear seat base than the old model!
Thus, it has a little more headroom, however the new low rear seat squab doesn't feel as comfortable, and visibility is diminished.

These are pointers to the seating position in the new ES...

Most of the early reviews of the new ES350 that I've read have mentioned the increased legroom (4"!) but haven't mentioned comfort or seating position.

Since the new model is now based on the Avalon platform, maybe the rear seating will be a little different than in the Camry.

After the new gen 2007 came out I don't recall seeing many, if any, reviews of the following model years. There were only a few minor cosmetic changes so I suppose the '07 reviews would apply to the '08 etc.
