Best year for first car?
 

Good morning,me and my wife drive es350s.
Her old 2012 is my work car and she has a 2014.
We are looking for advice on buying a older model for my daughters first car.Would buy a newer model but we would like to stay in the under 7000.00.
What years to look for and what years to avoid.

2010+ are the best.
If maintaned, even the 2007 is bulletproof.

Last years of the same generation are always better than the early versions.

Car Care Nut is a big fan of 2010-2012 model years. I’m in the same position as you and found a 2009 that we’re looking at buying for my 19 year old son. I couldn’t find any in those model years that weren’t solid.
