‘07 es350 Gas burning really bad
Hi gas is burning really bad for past month in es350 had a fuel pump change a couple weeks ago and checked for gas leaks and tune up yesterday still I burning gas very rapidly…someone was telling me to get a catalytic cleaner from auto store anyone experience this?
How many miles are on it? How long has this been going on? What kind of gas mileage are you now getting?
Was it better before the fuel pump replacement? If so, then go back to those guys and complain.
What did they do for this tune up? I ask because modern cars do not get tune ups. They get specified maintenance based on time and mileage according to the manufacturers recommendations.
Was it the same guys who installed the fuel pump?
Did they check for codes to see if any systems had issues?
Did they replace the engine air filter? Replace spark plugs?
Does it smoke? If so what color? Does it burn oil?
If your catalytic converter was clogged you would have a loss of power due to the blocked exhaust. I doubt that is your issue.
