Default Front Strut Replacement Opinion

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well with the group. As usual I'm here for advice because I know several of you are the real deal. I have a 2008 ES 350 with 115,000 miles. I need to replace the rear struts. A few people, not mechanics, have said I should replace the front struts at the same time as the rear so the car will ride really well. What is your opinion? Thanks so much.

No need to replace all 4 if the front struts are still in good condition. Are they original?

It's recommended to replace struts in pairs- get KYB struts

Thanks for the reply. Yes they are original. And, yes I'm gonna use KYB for the rear strut.

Yep, no need to do all four.

The rear in our prior gen ES went out WAY before the front. The car is now up to 335k and the while I have replaced the front shocks/strut cartridges once w/KYB, the springs, mounts, etc. are still original and doing A-ok.

Thanks so much. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. I'll just change the back struts for now.
