Tail Light Bulb Replacement
 

Hi all!

I have to take my car through inspection in a few weeks. Come to find out, one of my lights is out.

Can anybody help me figure out what size bulb I should be looking for to fit in this spot?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! (LED would be preferred)

Are you referring to the white backup lights? You'll need an assistant to put the car in reverse to see if they are working.

If they need replacement, they are bulb # 921 (12.8V, 17.9W).

Also, did you check your brake lights, including the third brake light in the rear window? You'll need an assistant to press down on the brake pedal for you (or use something to hold the brake pedal down while you check the lights).

You can actually do it yourself, turn your car on (but not started, just the electricals on ACC), put on the parking brake, and put your car into R, it will cause the lights to light up, but your car is still being held in place by the parking brake and the engine is not running.
Yes it will incessantly beep at you for leaving it in R when exiting the vehicle but it will work.

Bulb 7443.

Figures... one of mine burnt out today (the bulb for the red lenses on the trunk lid). It is called the parking light, bulb #168.

Simply pull down on the black liner and two push clips will pop out. You will then have access to the bulb.
