Repair a broken vent louver. Center dash vent. Security light issue.
 

My phone mount broke one of the louvers in my a/c vent over the radio. I may have over tightened it. I came across a video for radio replacement that discusses removing the vent assembly. In the video they say not to unplug the security light wire from the vent assembly. Of course I will need to unplug it to replace the assembly. Can removing the plug cause a problem?

No, I removed the center vent many times and I also unplugged the security light. No problems.
