Default Navigation update

2007 Lexus ES350. When I went to update the navigation maps via DVD, I pressed the DVD eject button and it reported no DVD installed, although I could here a disk drive turn for a few seconds like you would expect to here when a DVD is being ejected. I inserted the new disk but it was never brought into the system. WTF?

Your ES is a Generation 5 ES, and this is the Generation 6 ES forum. You likely would get better response if you posted your question in the correct forum.

If I understand correctly what you are saying, you inserted the new disk into the drive without being able first to eject the old disk. If that is the case, since the drive can only hold one disk at a time, I suspect that you have two disks jammed into the drive and that you will have to have someone disassemble the drive to get them out.

Thanks for directing me to the correct forum. I was not able to insert the new DVD, nor was I able to get the system to spit one out. The system reports no DVD installed. I'll follow-up on the correct forum, thanks again.
