Ok 3 years ago i had pioneer tv put in, the tv wouldnt work with toggle switch. I had a backyard guy install switch. No problems for 3 years. The switch was mounted under ignition. It fell behind panel. Rather than removing panel i started pulling. I eventually pulled toggle switch but i pulled 2 wires. The wires touched, i separated and taped them. I went in store, 1hr later my car wouldnt start.

Lights, radio and everything looking normal the car just wont turnover, no click or anything.

Attempts at jumping failed. Long story short. Car shop called and said he has to put in new switch and itll be $279. I frowned at the price since he said he'd run a new switch from starter. I figured i pulled something loose or touched and the solution should be putting back the wire i pulled or whatever i screwed up.


So his diagnosis is wire short. Should I pay the 279 or audio shop to fix wiring? Im thinking its a 50 or $60 solution.

Now my check eng light on, he told me dont turn car off or i wont get it started.

 

Well, I'm confused! A TV?! Toggle switch!? - To toggle what?
