Default Window Regulator

Will a window regulator from a 1997 es300 fit a 2001 es300? I'm buying a used regulator and motor for $175

Its a motor and regulator for the front. Dealer for just the regulator is 255. I think the rears are a lot cheaper.

try a junkyard or something, for $175 you can almost get an entire used door with everything attached .

Sounds like you may have already got another regulator from a different year, but you might want to make sure you got a 99-01 regulator.

The 99-01 has auto up-down front windows, which the 97-98 does not have(only auto down driver's). Auto up windows require some extra circuitry that means the regulator is likely different. I am not totally sure on that since I am new to the Toyota/Lexus but it is a pretty safe bet.

I got one from a 2001 for $65 bucks in line, hopefully it's still there.
