Hi all

Brand New to this forum. My son's 93' E300 drivers side lock decided to disappear into the door. At first, we thought it might be an attempted breakin but don't really see any markings of any kind. I'm mechanically inclined so I started to remove the door panel which didn't give me much hope in retrieving it although I can see it hanging just below the lock opening. It looks like it could have been fastened with a screw? I may be off base but could that be? My question is....how do I retrieve it to hopefully reinstall it? any help would be appreciated.

Well, I've figured it out which made me feel good, however i proceeded to drop the screw in the garage and I couldn't find it so I will have to order one. But the other part of the problem is that with the lock installed and opened with the key it would only open the driver door and not the others like the passenger side door does. So, any thoughts on the cause?
