i've decided to start searching for 01 tails

 

very amazing what you did, and yes the tinted tail lights was a great idea on my behave. great job ^^

 

i like the darken tail lights...looks clean

i'm going to try and find a way to make the tails flow with the rest of the car more.

 

Not my cup of tea, but it looks like a nice job, i was planing to mak our orange part to red instead

 

I don't like the dark lights either. Too ghetto, cheap looking. Get the clear 2001 lenses.

 

No i mean take them apart and do what 86'ed did with his headlights

Painting the outer trim piece does nothing for the headlights, as it is a mere decorative piece, if you will, its the reflectors that are not to be painted. If it were functional, it would have groves and not be a smooth piece of chrome plated plastic and light output would be all over the road because of reflecting from this piece.

i HATE black tinted tails...too cheap and ghetto for my taste

Plus the fact that tinting your tails can be risky. There was a CL member here a while back who tinted the tails on her IS-F and then got rear-ended cuz the guy behind her didn't know her brake lights were on and slammed into the back of her.

But since in this case the OP has opted to get '01 tails, this is now a non-issue

 

You wont be disappointed.

The 3rd Gen Lexus is a clean classy car. Don't ruin it with goofy teenager mods.
