I was driving and the VSC lights and engine light came on

My car is overdue for a oilchange just above 10 miles and the car haves 138XXX miles

Anyone have any idea why these lights came on?

It could be anything, seriously.

It has nothing to do with oil change changing. If you don't feel much of anything different, chances are you have a simple P0171 lean error. What I'd do since this is the first time you are dealing with this is rather than pull the battery cables to clear the fuse, find someone, like a local auto parts place, that can read the code with an OBD2 scanner and see what it is, clear the code if possible, and then report to us what the code was.

surprise surprise if you haven't even changed your 02 sensors, you shall now. they ought to be replaced as preventative maintenance type work at about 85K [upstream units]

they need to be checked first with equipment because it could be a real problem with your emmisions equipment, and you might be in warranty on that from toyota motors, or otherwise ... its expensive.

 

What can one expect to pay for both upstream O2 sensors being replaced at a dealer? Or do you recommend changing yourself? Thanks
