Slapped on the primacy MXV4's

Hey everyone. Just slapped a brand new set of Michelin Primacy MXV4's today on my new '01 ES (Monday). Two things:

1) I wanted to convey at how impressed I am with this tire already, and it's only been 3 hours. Ride comfort is so smooth and noticeable, it's unbelievable. They grip the road amazing, and the ride noise is incredibly silent.

2) Because I know these are a highly rated tire, saw a bunch of you guys have them, and are all big advocates: what else can I expect from this seemingly great buy?

They were pricey, but a 60k tire including rotate and balance for the life of the tires seems like it was well worth it. Any thoughts?

They are certainly a very decent choice for your 01 ES. Did you go with V or H speed rated?

Def H, I don't plan on doing 135+mph in the 'yacht' ;). The V-rated was way more expensive on an already pricey tire. Bad choice?

Not at all.....the H was the tire to get for the ES...better balance of ride & handling & as you mentioned way less expensive. A V speed rated tire is overkill for our rides.

Right on, thanks for good info. I'm loving this car more and more everyday. I give big thumps up to these tires.

great choice in tires...i also have primacy MXV4's on my ES and i love how smooth and quiet they are...the car came with some worn energy MXV4's on it, and my first purchase was a full set of the primacys...been extremely happy with them for the 6k miles ive driven on them so far

You definitely made a great choice on the tires. I have the same tires on my '98 and they are amazing. I purchased them at Costco about a year and a half ago and they have been outstanding for the time that i've had them. From my experience, these tires are perfect for this car and they haven't shown much if any wear at all.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

You said it! I bet you got a good deal from costco huh? How much, like 120/per? I was at 137/per

Off the top of my head:woot:, i believe it was 130-140ish, but i had a coupon from the costco catalog for $60 off a set of 4 tires.

I currently have Bridgestone Potenza's on my 02 ES. They look and feel great.

I may have to give these a try though, thanks!

I also have the Energy MXV4 plus and those tires ride very well and they last a very long time. Enjoy riding on your Michelins and happy driving...

Mega, I have the Potenza's on my 01 currently. However, the original owner didn't rotate them to plan and now they are cupped on the inside. The ride sounds loud. The tires themselves are great in the snow and rain though. However, due to economic reasons, these Primacy's are not in the cards so I'll deal with the tire roar until they have been run down a little more. The car is mostly a parking lot queen for now.

I was also told that you must RELIGIOUSLY rotate these tires every oil change or you will have tire cupping problems. Is this true?

i rotate my tires every 5k
