Default Oil pan problems

I've been looking everywhere and can't come to a definitive conclusion... Can anyone verify if the bottom steel oil pan (the one with the drain plug) on a 1997-01 1mz Camry is identical to my 1997 ES? I stripped it yesterday and I can't find one for the life of me locally, but i've been asking for a Lexus part though.

I'm also considering just tapping out the hole to the next size up and going with an oversize plug, but i'm a bit concerned about the small metal shavings that will result as well as the few that are in there from stripping the threads already.. Anyone with any input?
