Exclamation Underbody Problem!

I Have a 2002 Lexus ES 300. I recently got an oil change at a local Oil Express. My Lexus has a plastic covering under the engine. It has to be opened/removed to access the engine for an oil change. After the oil change, it wasn't properly put back onto the car. There are several screws missing and it is practically touching the ground now. Anyone know where I can get some screws to put it back on securely?

Thanks

It's not a normal screw. It is a custom made Plastic Pop In type made for plastic molding and such..

Your screws are at the local 'Oil Express'. Why not go back and make it their problem? after all, they left the parts off.

the underbody guard on the ES is held on by about 10 self tapping rough thread 10 millimeter screws and about 6 special plastic clips...
these can be purchased at your local lexus dealer...if i were you, id avoid the oil express if they cannot be bothered enough to properly do the job and reinstall the shield.

hey thanks for the help

I was able to rig it up with wire ties and a few screws from something else for a temporary fix, I just contacted my Lexus Dealer's Maintenance manager.

I always get those little plastic screws for cars I work on from the dealer. They are almost always very little pennies each , maybe 30 cents each. If you get them online, like rlx101 said, the better off you will be as far as cost but seriously -- you can just go to the dealer, they might take a day to get them.

I personally would NEVER take my car to a oil express place. If unable to do oil change myself, I would take it to a dealer [preferably toyota or lexus -- but any maker will do - as long as it's decent place of course].
