Hi,

My AC has been acting up. In the mornings, it works, but after sitting in the sun all day, it never works on the drive home. It just blows hot air. Any ideas as to what's wrong? Do I just need to recharge the freon? It's a 95, and I don't know if the freon has ever been replenished. I called around, Lexus wants 2 hrs of labor plus freon (~$300) and Toyota says $235. Where else can I get this fixed? Thanks so much for any help.

 

I had the same problem a couple years ago. It was a bad expansion valve. Cost my about $500 to get it fixed.
