Default Introducing Myself

Hey whats up guys? My name is Noah I live in Jacksonville, FL. Im finishing high school this year and will be getting rid of Civic within a week or so and hopefully picking up a 97 ES300. I work at a BMW Dealership up here so I'm getting it for a steal, $5,100. The only thing about it is that their are 140,000 miles. Realy doesnt bother me since I work at a dealership where I can fix it if anything happens or get a tech to help out.

I'm a real big tho of JDM Parts and JDM Cars so with the ES I will being doing something in that region. I'm just wondering tho if you guys got any pics of some nice 97-01 ES300s with VIP Style or you own personal rides. Also what do you guys suggest for suggestion? My buddy has his own supension company www.springrates.com and he doesn't have a market for ESs but can get it if I want it. Thanks and I appreciate the help.

Cool

Welcome.
Nothing much JDM. The Windom front 1/4's have the little side blinkers on them.
Some people do rebadging & some people think it's retarded. Im not gonna get into it, but you can always slap Toyota Camry badges on it & get a Windom tail.
God knows enough Camry's slap Sceptor badges on.

Other than that, I don't know of any interesting JDM parts.

I haven't been here long either, that price dosent sound that bad, even though the mileage is high if you take car of your es it should last yu awhile, I have 193,000, i'm i the process of putting in a new motor but it took a long time to go throug the first one

Welcome

As for your plans on going "JDM" you're in luck. There are so few differences between the ES and Windom during that generation that you won't have a long list of parts to buy. Corner lights, badges, and quarter panel lights, and you're pretty much done. There are some technical differences, but it's not the type of thing that anyone would notice unless they worked on the car themselves.

Good luck on finding the stuff, though. I'm in the industry, have several friends in the industry, and even know some importers... and I'm still waiting to find out about parts. Of course I tend to be slow to work to spend money I don't need to, but the parts are definitely more difficult to come by than your usual Honda or Nissan JDM parts. But then again, having someone that no one else has is all the fun anyway, right.

Good luck.

Welcome, welcome a thousand welcomes. Don't worry too much about the miles. I have a 1996 ES 300 with over 254K and it runs great. You will enjoy many miles with your car. Happy driving...
