Hey! I just bought 4vz-fe (from japan) and planning to change the current f*d engine from Es300 1992. But the thing is, Es300 has 3vz-fe , but the engine that i'm going to get is 4vz-fe ? Is there any huge different? or Problems with swap? like ECU or someother issues? thx guys.
p.s. 3vz is 3L but 4vz is 2,5L

Yes, there are several electrical differances, and many internal mechanical differances. There is a scammer on ebay that has been pimping the 4vz-fe's to people as 3vz-fe's. You need to refuse the shipment of the item at his expence, get a refund, then hang him till his feet stop twitching.


You SHOULD have paid with a money order. At which point what he did is mail fraud, and mail fraud is a federal crime.

If you paid with a credit card, you need to contact the credit card people & have them refuse payment.



The only time you would want a 4vz-fe is if you were just going to make an insanely high revving, short stroke v6. ( > than atleast 9K).
