Default My dead ES...

It's dead. Sitting in the garage for about a month now. My sister just bought a digicam so I just decided to take some pictures of the ES and things in my closet. And I'm also doing this because I am bored.

I don't have much pictures yet because it's late at night and it's really cold right now. But I'll take more pictures when it stops raining.

Here's the 93 coach edition badge. (the reason why I love this car more than OTHER es300's)

Here's the Gold license frame from Lexus for $50. Yes fifty!

In my closet sits the blue bulbs to the left and the K&N filter and cleaner.

And the shades that I used to wear every time I drive.

And I even bought this keychain for $10.95. I forgot to take a picture of the keychain, so this is the picture. (Mines has some scratches on it from the club key)

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but what is the reason for your ES sitting idle for the past month?

I got some more pix. My car isn't drivable any more.
There's water in the combustion chamber, it came out the tail pipe too.

Here's the dirty engine

Those headlights sure are clean for a 93

up close

and those dead foglight

Yup, it's gonna stay dead until mid January. I'mma drop in a new motor. It's gonna cost me at least $3 grand+.

Cool

What's a compression test show? If it's just the front bank screw a JDM engine. Mill the front head flat for like $50-75, buy a Victor Nitroseal gaskets for the front head $50, buy a timing belt & water pump $100-115.
Loose the car for a week while the head gets decked at a machine shop, put it back together in an afternoon.

Default JDM Ressurection

The 50K JDM motor is in. The Car is back up and running again. But somehow, when I drive the car, it doesn't feel the same as my old motor. I examined the old motor, and both head gaskets were blown (not at the same time.) The rear was blown first, but it only had a small crack. (That explains why I lossed some radiator fluid before the front blew.) The difference (I think) between the motors to the naked eye is that it looks as if the valve cover is a little wider (in height, not width). Everything is working fine now. Except that there's still some water in the exhaust (or maybe the muffler) that is cutting me some horsepower off from the airflow (or it seems so). I also tweaked up the idle speed because it was at 400rpm. Everything seems OK for now.
