i'm running to the edge here. my 93 ES has a BHG.. and i let my friend drove it. he forget to do daily check up on the coolen so it overheated and the Radiator is crack now.. anyways.

should i keep the car and fix it?
should i keep the car and replace it with a JDM engine?
should i just run it till death do us part, and part it out?

 

You can't mask a BHG & parting them out is stupid. It takes loads of work to do & doesn't return anything. Fix the BHG (Check for warpage) & replace the radiator / water pump timing belt etc.
Then sell it in the paper if you're tired of it.

 

I heard McElligott will come pick it up and take it off your hands

 

Or sell it to MCE.

 

I have a similar problem too. Except that my radiator is fine. I also have a BHG! And I'm also looking for a new motor.

i read from this forum. that the JMD engines aren't so good. in Japan they have regular inspections like here in the U.S... where they shake the engine or something like that. but i'm not so sure..
