what's wrong

I'm having my first problem with my 99 es300. It feels great as usual then at some traffic light stops it does a shaking thing...like it wants to shut off or is gasping for air or power. Don't have any warning lights on the dash come on. If it was something really serious, I'm sure a light would come on. If I rule out the serious stuff, what's left. Spark plugs...car has 58000 miles? Fuel filter? What do you guys think? Anyone else had this problem.

It could be a bad tank of gas or a dirty fuel filter.

i have the same problem and my car has a bad fuel filter. I run premium fuel so its most likely not the fuel since I used to run regular. Could be your fuel filter cause thats what mine does and I have a bad fuel filter for sure, it was diagnosed by my mechanic.

How hard is it to change out the fuel filter cuz my car does the same thing. I run on 89 octane by the way. 98 ES3.

Obviously I'd suspect gas if it just occured. What is the suggested change interval on the fuel filter? The filters aren't much to swap out, it could possibly have some obstruction that may be reducing flow.

For my year LS, it is suggested at 60K miles.
