Last night I used the AUTEL tool to scan all the sensors and they checked out. Two of the tires had a 30 PSI so I inflated them this morning. Tonight I will hook up the tool and do a ODB relearn and go for a drive- hopefully this fixes it.

 

I’ve never used an Autel but with the tools I use immediately after programming the ECU you need to rescan each sensor so it sends a signal. LF RF RR LR SPARE if you don’t have a spare skip that. Most of the time a drive is not required.

 

Fixed- used the Autel tool and it took 5 minutes. Scanned all 5 sensors, connected the ODB cable to the car and did a ODB relearn. After about 30 seconds, the TPMS light went off and everything is now good.

Update- light started flashing again. Used the Autel tool and it looks like my passenger side front is now going bad. At this point, I've decided to replace them all.

Is it ok to use Shrader sensors? They are $21 on Rockauto- or should I use Denso?

 

Two TMPSs of my 2012 ES350 back tires were bad detected by both Discounted Tires and Costco Tires. I went three stores today. Discounted tires' quote said Five Dill 7007HP 71 315 Clamp for $225 ($415/sensor), labor for $55, backup tire for $71 (my old one from factory, never used in past 12 years), certificate for tire $14.1, Total $405. Lexus dealer, ~450 for four sensors, labor around $350 (saying installation takes 2~3 hours, Fxxk them), and programming .... Costco: five 7007HP RS 315MHZ METAL for $232.5, free installation and programming. Deal at Costco at last. The job was done within 25 minutes! One can DIY, however, i am not confident with the relearning (programming), even with those pre-programmed sensors (~$65 for five top-rated ones).
