Engine Thermostat Replacement
After changing radiator, hoses, and cap I am still losing coolant from reservoir.
I dont see any coolant leaking on the ground My next step is to replace the thermostat. Does anyone have any diagrams or directions? Is it just one gasket that has to be replaced? I see the thermostat at advance auto parts does not come with a gasket. Any help or advise would be appreciated |

sorry I should have wrote 2005.
Is it in the same location? |
Yes same location. Anything but OEM thermostat is total trash don't even consider it. Your coolant loss is probably not from the thermostat housing.

Check the center valley of the engine for crusty buildup of coolant.
