Default Where is ECU Programming receiver 97 es300

Hello all…I’ve been searching online & on this site to find exactly where the (ECU program receiver) is located. I lost my key fob & purchased one from a Northeast Keyless site and the first instruction says “locate the ECU”…now that seems easy enough so I go out & stand there gazing under the hood looking for something I haven’t got a clue what the heck it is. Now the rest of the instructions seem pretty straight forward in programming the fob… It’s a 1997 es300, I’m positive one of you experts know where it’s located. Thanks in advance for your knowledge. A picture would be fantastic!

You shouldn't need the above/need to access any ECU to program the remote. Maybe I'm wrong.

Let us know if that programming routine works. Is there a button as shown?

Hello,

Those instructions seem a lot different from a normal programming sequence for those cars. Here you can find pictures for the Wireless Door Lock ECU, it doesn't have any buttons on it, making me wonder if the ECU shown in their instructions is for an aftermarket solution.

Below is the video of an OEM programming procedure, I would try this first, before tearing into the dashboard, since it won't hurt.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
