Steering wheel
2005 es330. I feel like the steering wheel is slightly too big and the way I drive, my hands sometime slip on the wood grain when turning. I want to find an alternative without having to go the no-airbag route without spending a ton of money. Any suggestions?

Not much you can do, maybe a steering wheel from another Toyota of the same era would work but the cruise control buttons tend to be different.

Any Camry, or maybe even a GS300 steering wheel should fit, but you will have to verify it. The preferred way to go about it is to visit a junkyard and try putting a steering wheel that feels good to the ES around there.. As for a Cruise Control, while connectors may be different, the principles behind them are the same, so it won't be that difficult to re-pin the connector if needed, though they should plug an play, unless it is a really old system.. Hope this helps and best of luck! |
The ES steering wheel was huge. The 2001-2005 Lexus IS300 steering wheel should fit, as well as the 2000–2005 Toyota Celica and MR2 Spyder. The mid 2000’s Corolla S had a steering wheel just like those cars. This is assuming you have the steering wheel without all of the buttons on it? If you have the newer wheel with the buttons on it, I’m not sure what other wheel would let you keep those functions. Most of the other Lexus from that era don’t have all of those buttons.
I had an IS300 wheel in my SC300 and it was the perfect size. I swapped it out for an ES300 wheel and the ES wheel felt massive. |
