Cleaning MAF sensor

Hi,
Wanted to know if its safe to use crc maf cleaner on my 2003 es300. I discovered after i bought the cleaner that says on the back its not for use on most lexus vehicles that have karman vortex maf sensors . Is my car one of the exceptions? W

When working on anything electrical on a Lexus, it is well advised to remove the Negative pole of your battery until you are complete. Computer operated cars, Lexus most certainly, are finicky and will generate codes and problems to prove it. Do your Lexus a huge favor and one day replace your MAF with an OEM Denso. Your cars ECU knows your MAF is aftermarket and will attempt to employ it but often with less than expected results, hence I always recommend Genuine OEM for electrical components.

While you’re cleaning your MAF, clean the connectors to it (let them dry thoroughly) and clean your Throttle Body while you’re in there. Not hard to do.

You don’t have a karman vortex sensor. You have a hot wire sensor CRC MAF cleaner is fine. Make sure you clean the hot wires. Many clean the IAT sensor incorrectly thinking it is the MAF sensor.
