Speed sensor broke and fallen into transfer case
1st. I just registered to this forum and this is my 1st post. Although I'm not new to fixing cars and I've been coming to this forum since I've owned my Lexus for help on repairing other issues! Okay so I have a 1998 ES300 D speed sensor snapped off clean even leaving the shaft on the inside of the transfer case well my worst nightmare happened when trying to remove the remainder of the speed sensor out of the transfer case instead of removing it successfully I managed to knock and push the speed sensor back down into the transfer case which it is now fall inside and out of sight and vision. So my only option is to now remove the back half / cover of the transfer case? (Not sure if that's actually what it's called) that way I can remove the half a speed sensor in there and replace it. my question is is if anyone has any kind of experience or ever had to do this before kind of looking for a walk through a write-up of how to go about removing the back of the case to gain access to where the speed sensor fail to remove it any help from anyone please would be greatly appreciated
