Alternator Protip for ES330....
If your Alternator starts groaning or changes tune or makes a funny noise that doesn't stop..... get ready for it to fail!
I started my car up at work Friday night and I heard a different "tone" from under the hood, almost like a groaning
noise, even with the AC etc off. Well, as it turns out my alternator was failing. After a few stops and 2 hrs later, I started to
lose power when the whole thing collapsed. I got towed, then charged the battery up at home, then replaced alt with a reman and all is well, but I wish I had just had it towed when I first heard the noise, would have been less nerve wracking.
At least my OEM alt got 265,000 miles on it before fail, though.

265K miles on the original alternator is damn good you got your moneys worth.
