suggestions for matching turn sigs.

Ok i have a 96 and i have the slyvania silverstars for my lowbeams and i love them. Now i cleared the corners and for the full effect i have 2 1157 apc LEd lights that dont have the big orange bulb. Well they are kinnda weak and i really am not happy. So today i bought a clear bulb to replace them with but the light does not match my lowbeams so it looks ghetto.:thumbdn: Anyone have any suggestions on where i can find turn signal bulbs that match in whiteness with my Slyvania's?

hey, i had the same thinkin when i cleared my lights. i have PIAA xtremes for my lows and wanted somethin to match. right now i have APC 1157 SuperMax White bulbs in the turns, they work pretty well, almost matches perfectly. but that's just temporary, plus i kinda notice a little fading in the color. i need to order some PIAA 1157s, then i'll have the matchin look. i read in a mag that slyvania is makin silverstar turn signals, they are amber but appear clear when off, i don't know if they make the white bulbs for turns yet though.

There is a bulb called Silvervision (made by Philips). It currently is in the 1156 format, but can be made to fit 1157 by removing one tab. Instructions can be found through a google search. These bulbs are silver coated so they blend in to the reflector housing of the light, but they flash amber.

snoboarder8, what mag did you see the print about sylvania and silverstar turn signals. Clear bulbs that flash amber.....i'm interested.

i saw the ad in motor trend. here's what it says:

"Now NEW SilverStar Lighting - gives you the crisp, clean styling of progressive clear lens signal lighting design and produces a 100% street legal amber light when lit"

george94, check out PIAA Xtreme White signals, here's a place to order them
link

i'm goin to order them myself soon, along with the wedge and dome bulbs. does anyone know if 168 bulbs fit the 194 bulb socket? they look very similar, thanx

So the LED bulbs suck? I recently cleared my corners and was looking to get LED bulbs to complete the look. I want to keep them amber because I dont want hyperwhite in the front and amber in the back. I guess I will try the silvervision (or whatever they are called!) bulbs.

I am looking for clear bulb that flashes white...I already have a blue coated one from apc, i do not want to see blue through the lens anymore. I know they sell at autostores, but they are dim and yellow...got clear bulb with superbright white around in 1157?

If you want something that flashes "white" go with a standard clear bulb. At night it will flash white and during the day yellowish/amber. The clear signal lamp lense will also look clear.

I don't recommend hyperwhites or any bulbs which flash blue. I've had to many $$$$ worth of tickets and fines for those bulbs:D
