great!
any recommendation for a particular make or model. i want to be able to use my apple phone |
You might want to try asking in an apple forum / car app tech forum type of setting.
I'm not sure about iPhones but for android this can be achieved by using a bluetooth obdii adapter and the android app Torque |
I have the BlueDriver OBD2 dongle with an iPhone. My car is a 98 ES300. I cannot see a temperature reading for the transmission. It only has a temp gauge for the engine coolant in addition to all sorts of other measurements.

I am researching it a bit more. Old fusion is an app that iOS users use. Torque is another popular one for android. Apparently one has to enter PID values to get a specific sensor values displayed. Apparently their are 2 sensors one at pan the other at converter. But I don't know more that that. I was hoping someone who has done this could help us.
