Lights on warning alarm?

Lights on warning alarm?
On my other cars, when I leave the headlights on and shut off the car, I get a warning chime...letting me know I have forgotten to turn them off. My Lexus does not seem to do this. I have only had the car 8 months, not sure if it is supposed to warn me...other than a small green splotch on the panel.. Can't find any info. It is a 2000 Es300.

The lights have an auto shut off feature that's why the car doesn't nag you turn the lights off.
