And may I ask why you want to disconnect? If you just wanted to stop the auto sensing, there is a way to disable it.

I had the windshield changed and sensor is not working correctly. It appears he neglected to put the tab back to hold it in place correctly, so it does not make good contact unless I gently push the sensor to the pad. So, I want to take it off and see if I need a pad or what. The cable must have a tab that needs to be pushed to release the cable, but not being able to see the tab, I do not know where to push to release the cable. The sensor is loose where the tab is and I can pull it forward and release the bottom of the sensor. I am not sure what the bracket looks like so I do not know which way to push the sensor to release it from the bracket. If I had a picture of the bracket, that would tell me which way to push to release the sensor. Can the cable and sensor be removed while connected to the sensor?
