es reclaimed
here is my story.
my son has been using this 99 es for the last 6 years. he moved on to a 06 titan and tried to sell the es but there were no takers. so I decided to use it. I have put about $1000 on it recently ( a lot for a car with literally no value).
new tires, lower control arms, alignment, balance, battery. It is now driving like a lexus again. I live in dallas and have startred driving it 33 miles every day to work, I pass cars 40 times its value with ease. it is smooth and responsive. I am in love with it and prefer it over my brand new Altima. I don't want to sell it any more!

I fully understand. That's why I won't let go of my 02 ES300, it's got a a bunch of miles but it still rides so nice and quiet. I've had to replace a whole bunch of stuff but thanks to this website I've been able to do most of it myself. Driving an old reliable car that you're not worried about getting dinged up is a great feeling.

totally agree, thanks for your response.
the driver side seat leather on my lexus is cracking up. I wonder if I can get a seat in better condition at a salvage yard, could go for a seat cover or leave it as is. its just aesthetics.
also, is it easy to adjust the headlight beams on this model?

It will only cost you a few hundred (at most) to have a quality upholstery shop re-cover your seat to match the rest of your interior.
My 02 has 177k on it and I love it. I would jump in it right now and drive it anywhere there is a road without so much as a second thought. I know the car so well that if something did go wrong on a trip, there is a 98% chance I could fix it on the fly with a trip to an auto parts store.
