When I first get into the car, it seems fine. After I come to my first stop and shifting down to first gear, when I start moving again, it shift back into overdrive from third gear unless I shut it off and restart the engine. Awhile ago, I had a Knock Sensor #2 issue, I cut it from the ECU and spliced it into Knock Sensor #1 and it was working great. I believe the fluid was out and after adding new fluid, the issue still occurs. Would a transmission flush help?

Reconnecting Knock Sensor #2 and figuring out why it was bad would be a start. You can't cheat one problem and assume it won't cause others.

The problem with the Knock Sensor #2 was a faulty sensor but I'd rather not spend $1,000 in labor to have it replaced. It would take me far too long to do it myself and it's my only vehicle for school and work.
I spliced it so it would read sensor #1 as sensor #2 as well.
