Default 2001 ES300 Shifting Issues

When I haven't driven the car for awhile, get in it and drive down the road, it does great. After about ten or twenty minutes of driving (and in 4th gear), if I stop somewhere and start going again, my transmission will not shift into fourth gear unless I get lucky. It seems to have a mind of it's own. Also, at higher speeds (75mph+), the ABS light comes on. I've gone to autozone because my check engine light is on (but I also don't have a catalytic converter), the reader says there was electrical/starter issues, and catalytic converter issues.

Most codes will disable overdrive. You need to find out the exact codes and go from there.

You have one or more knock sensors that have failed, or the sensor harness or a combination. Do a search there is a lot of info on this subject.

People that ask for help then solve the problem and fail to post what they did should be banned and have their threads wiped.

Maybe, maybe not.

The premise of the forum is to share information, so if you are in the position to add some information that clears u pa question and can't be bothered, it certainly doesn't reflect well on the OP. Happy to take help, but not going to take a moment to give it.

I spliced KS sensor 2 into KS sensor 1.
