1998 ES300 Remote replacement, and Trunk not opening

Whenever the inside button is pressed to unlock the trunk, a small click happens from behind the radio. The glovebox button isn’t pressed/disabeling it. Whether the trunk is unlocked via key in rear, it still clicks behind the radio. The trunk latch mechanism has been replaced aswell.

I am so have a 2001 gs 300 remote. I was wondering if it would be possible to program that remote to the 98 es.

Edit: Also the trac off light is on. Not the biggest deal, but would like to know a fix.
