What's up guys,
if you're curious about the thread title, I'm referring to things that tend to give me headaches but in reference to this wonderful es250 I own, I'm having problems with the first 4 acronyms. I bought the car and it had a slight pause while taking off from red lights and then a stutter at around 40mph that would eventually break free at 60mph. So one fine morning I decided I wanted this car to be a little bit more of a headache, of course..so I went to my local auto zone, bought maf spray. Cleaned the maf, then proceeded to try and remove the sensor from the maf housing which you guys know was stupid. Now two weeks and two mafs later I'm having a constant problem but now I've figured a way to drive around even though I burn through gas like Willie nelson in the 70s. I unplugged the IAC wiring and it starts fine but has a weird idle as opposed to when its plugged in it starts up and dies instantly. I have taken the stepper motor apart and tried cleaning but I'm not sure I know the actual function of it and what I'm doing.
Plz send Halp.

Forgot to mention , with the IAC wiring unplugged the car has the erractic idle but the drivability is decent, not perfect but I'm able to drive it around with no stalling. It stalled once while in reverse though, so I'm a bit clueless. Dont really trust aftermarket parts so I have a few donor OEM parts I'm trying 5i combine and make better.

I have not heard of the the IAC going bad on these engines. The AFM has nothing to clean it is a variable resistor inside a sealed housing, there is also a temperature sensor which is sealed. So what exactly did you clean?
