I went with solargard (I think that's the name) tint, I think its around 35%, with the reflective/metal coating.
BECAREFUL with the ES models that has the am/fm antenna mounted on the rear windw...my tint messed it up. The reception was never the same.

im finally getting tints. how dark should i go? i live in VA =(
finally, after a year of having my car i can get tints. how dark should i go? i WANT to go 20% or below, but i know i cant do that in VA. should i go for 30%?

Go 15%!! Great coverage in the daytime and you can still see at night. Don't worry about cops. They wont pull you over for the tint, but if you get pulled over for something else they might ticket you for it.

my friend had 15% and he got pulled over just for that. cops are *******s over here. espicially state troopers. also he got pulled over for have something hanging from his rear view mirror.

eeek, damn... well in that case just stick with the darkest legal limit. No point in paying for a ticket and an increase in insurance just for some dark tint.

I think it was the smoked tails that may of raised it but it still doesn't make since. Plus who wants the legal limit its 90% here in Ny not even worth getting it tinted at that point.

Normally I would say go as dark as you can stand seeing out of them. Sometimes at night looking out the side can suck. Otherwise stick with whats legal. Say no to popo.
