Default Paint fade on top surface of rear bumper

Greetings fellow Lexus enthusiasts:

I am new to this group, having just become the proud owner of a 2003 ES300 with 91K miles and by all appearances, a very gently used and well maintained car. The Millenium silver paint is in great shape with a few scratches and is overall very attractive. The rear bumper, however, shows a lot of fade on it's top surface (see attached photo). I understand, possibly incorrectly, that different products should be used on the plastic as opposed to the painted sheet metal. The bumper isn't perfect with some scuffing on the right rear corner, but it would look a lot better if I could get rid of the fading on the top surface.

The car has lived it's entire life in Florida so I suspect that the year round strong UV light may be the culprit here. Your suggestions and experiences will be most appreciated.

Vic

Don't repaint it. I recommend that you put some car polish and wax on that thing. Should help bring back the shine

Make SURE is it Millennium Silver! Mine is White Alabaster Metallic, and someone before me touched up dings with Millennium Silver! Now I need to try to remove/cover it up as it stands out!

You could also clean it well and spray some clear coat, if you can get the hardening clear coat it would be better. I think it is called 2K or 3K clear coat.

Check Paint Scratch site

It will require polishing to get the proper sheen.
