SW03ES: Let me know your findings - cause I was looking into tint also.
I know it would be costly as hell - but I know that Lexus manufactures their own tinted windows~any ideas of what they may cost out on the market?

Formula One and Llumar and Johnson tint are some of the best. We have a Formula One store locally in Raleigh. They sold me the raw tint for the back window, so I could do it myself.

thinking of lexus tint.
hey guys, my mom's approved me to get the entire ES tinted, since being a '93 and sitting in the sun all day, the stock tint is sorta... not there anymore. i can see straight through the car, with no color blur... and since i'm gonna take the ES starting in december, and it'll be at school for 7 hrs on end, i asked to tint it.
anyways, onto the real reason for this thread, i was thinking of getting the stock Lexus tint that's on the RX's, the REALLY reflective stuff on the back, and maybe some 35% on the front. what do you guys think? i'm on TX, so there's a limitation to 35% on the front. any opinions are greatly appreciated guys. pictures are welcome too.

I personally don't like the look of mirror tint on only some windows, if you're gonna do that do them all.
On a side note, I just got a fix-it ticket for my tint last night, I've got 20% on the back three windows. I think I'm just gonna take it off rather than pay the $85 fine and risk another one. I go through that town pretty frequently and my car is pretty noticeable, if I didn't take it off, I'll guarantee that those same cops would see me sooner or later and not be happy.
On a side note, I just got a fix-it ticket for my tint last night, I've got 20% on the back three windows. I think I'm just gonna take it off rather than pay the $85 fine and risk another one. I go through that town pretty frequently and my car is pretty noticeable, if I didn't take it off, I'll guarantee that those same cops would see me sooner or later and not be happy.

look at the thread about my car... i have 35% tint all the way around. except the windsheild. don't tint the windshield in my opinion. oh wait, also look up the thread on tint, i posted my pics there too.

I agree with Kyle Harty, go with one type of tint, mixing just looks funny.
STAY LEGAL!!! I've gotten pulled twice for having 20% all-round (tinting fronts is illegal here).

OK, I used my lexus ES300 in Houston, Galveston TX for about a year with 20% tints and nobody ever stopped me. Infact I did the tints myself, (and no it is not one of those with a ^&it load of bubbles in it, infact Its been two years since I did tints on the car and there is still no bubble. I think one of these days I shall do a write up on the tints for the group.
