incenpink, how many % was your tints ? and how much was your ticket?
im in NYC, and im seeing more and more people getting ticketed for the tints... so, im kind of wondering whether i should tint my car or not.

20% on back 3 windows, no tint up front because I don't want to get tickets or get pulled over. My tint is perfect for me; everyone can still see the tvs from a far distance when on, but they are hard to see when off.

My suggestion is to stick to 1 colour all around & use a high quality tint that is scratch resistant & metalized like 3M or Llumar. I have 20% (medium shade) all around. I found 5% way too dark especially at night & 35% too light.

I have the legal tint limit in Illinois, which is 100%.
edit:
As far as I'm aware, they have to pull you over for something other than just window tints. It's an offense, but it's not something you can be pulled over for, was my understanding of it.

I have a 2000 Solara se v6 now, black on black and i'd love to tint my windows, but in NY its illegal to have anything on the front windows at all. I'm putting an exhaust on it so that will attract cops and then i'll get screwed so Im not sure what i"ll end up doing. If you tint and dont drive horribly or attract attention to yourself you should be able to get away with it.

35% charcoal tint all around, but I'm redoing my rear window 20%. I think it would be sweet to have the Lexus logo in the tint in the back window either that or the Red Sox logo. Oh yea Doug That would be pretty awesome to have me, you and Gato all lined up. 3 Black Onyx ES' I can't compete w/Gato's but I still love my baby.
