New es Owner
This past Monday I purchased a 2003 Lexus es300. It has 217k on it but still runs great. I bought the car to replace my 1994 Lexus gs300, which unfortunately got smashed up in a wreck. I spent more than I would have liked, but I think I got a good deal.
I like everything about the car except for a few things. First, it has those automatic up/down power windows. They would be great, except my drivers side automatically goes down upon closing. So, I have to catch it before it closes to seal it manually. The seller mentioned that it's likely because a small piece of tent at the top corner of the window has peeled off is why it does that.
Secondly, it only has tilt steering and doesn't have telescopic. My gs300 had that option and I really liked it. Finally, I love the keyless entry for the car, but there doesn't seem to be a place to open the trunk using just the key.
These are very minor issues with it. If there are any other owners that would like to chime in on what I can expect with this car, tell me about it.

Hello Tsellers17!
I've got the same 2003 ES300 as yours and love it. It's now got 307,XXX miles on it and runs great. You've got plenty of miles ahead of you. About your key: does it look like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=2003...l8lmaj8nVY7bM:
If no, I don't believe you have an original to the car key. If it looks like that then hold down the button that shows the car and an open trunk for 2 seconds and it should open your trunk. Good luck and good purchase.

I own a 1999 Lexus ES300 Coach Edition with more than 184K miles on it. I owned it for more than 3 years and it's still running strong. If you guys are curious, I made a video and posted it on YouTube so you guys can get a better view of it.
Congrats on your new purchase and hope you enjoy your ride. Take care of it cause these cars last for a long time.
