How do I know if I need a new starter for a 1999 lexus RX 300?

Default How do I know if I need a new starter for a 1999 lexus RX 300?

At turn of key, one click. Checked shifter in park and neutral. Checked starter relay, it's ok. Anything else that I need to check?

Check to see if your battery terminals are tight. I had this happen once and the negative side was loose.
