'95 ES300 battery light

Cold morning, well 40 degrees or so. Car fired up quickly at ignition. My battery light came on for a bit and then went off. Is this something I should be concerned about? I have an aftermarket battery that has only been installed about a year.

I don't think the problem would be the battery but the alternator or the wiring from the alternator to the battery, perhaps corrosion. If the problem persists that's where I'd look.

Thank you. Just happen the one time so far. Keeping an eye out.

it strongly suggests the output from your alternator is marginal.

battery light = alternator like.... 90% of the time.

To update everyone, I am pretty sure the alternator has gone out. I have had this before on other vehicles. I am hoping it did not kill the battery, but driving the car is sluggish and it even died on me today after getting a jump start at a gas station not far from home. The battery light has not been on, but was today my entire drive to work and back. I started a new thread(https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...lternator.html) and am looking at possibly getting the 90 amp upgraded alternator(http://www.ebay.com/itm/150668006846). Less than the rebuilt 80 amp Denzo from Napa.

That 90 amp seems like a pretty good way to go for sure.

I should have it tomorrow. Wondering if I should have it tested before going through the trouble of installing or just trust that it is good. I was hoping to have the old one out already, but I have not done that yet.
